Junior English Rules and Procedures:
1. Leaving the classroom: Students are permitted to leave the classroom to use the water or get a drink and are allowed 5
minutes to do so. Failure to return to class within that time frame will result in losing their pass for 1 week the first time,
2 weeks the second time, and the entire 9 weeks for the 3rd offense.
2. Missing class (excused absences): Proper documentation for absences are due to the deans within 48 hours of the
absence. All assignments missed will receive a 0 in the grade book until proper documentation is received. Once
documentation is received, the student will have 3 consecutive days to make up ALL missed work for full credit. It is
the STUDENTS' responsibility to obtain any and all missed work from me.
3. Major Assignments: All major assignments (final drafts, presentations, projects) will be given at least 1-2 weeks in
advance. These assignments are due at the BEGINNING of class, NO EXCEPTION!!! If they are not turned in at that
time, they will be considered late and receive the proper deductions.
4. FINAL DRAFTS: All final drafts must be typed AND printed prior to coming to class on the due date. I will not accept
papers via email or flash drive. It is the STUDENT'S responsibility to be prepared to turn in his/her assignment. It is
my recommendation that students do not leave their printing to the night before as problems will tend to arise. Final
drafts must have the proper heading in the right hand corner and in this order: Name, Teacher's name, Assignment,
and due date. The heading and paper must be double spaced.
